Suryakumar Loses Cool Defending Sanju Samson In Heated Face-Off With Marco Jansen

Marco Jansen allegedly complained about wicketkeeper Sanju Samson receiving a throw on the field during the opening Twenty20 International between South Africa and India, which sparked tensions. India skipper Suryakumar Yadav had to step in when Samson and Jansen got into a heated argument about this. The altercation started following Ravi Bishnoi’s second delivery in the fifteenth over. Gerald Coetzee, a South African pacer, and Suryakumar resumed their conversation. But umpires intervened immediately to defuse the situation.

India won over South Africa by 61 runs in spite of the drama. Samson became the first Indian to reach consecutive T20I hundreds with an incredible 107 from 50 balls. With ten sixes and seven fours in his innings, he assisted India in reaching 202/8. After that, the Indian bowlers took control, knocking South Africa out for 141 in only 17.5 overs with three wickets apiece from Varun Chakaravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi.
