The first-time winners, Southern Brave, had a strong showing in the previous season but were ultimately defeated by Manchester Originals in the Eliminator. During the round-robin phase, they secured four wins, lost three, and had one game that ended in a no-result, placing them third on the points table.
On the other hand, London Spirit had a lackluster season last year, only managing to win two out of their eight games, losing four, and having two games end with no result. They ended up at No. 7 on the points table. It’s worth noting that both Southern Brave and London Spirit have kept their original captains – James Vince and Dan Lawrence, respectively. Vince will be working closely with head coach Stephen Fleming, while Lawrence will have Trevor Bayliss as his assistant.
