Ramita Jindal will be competing in the women’s 10m air rifle final, aiming for India’s second medal in the Paris Olympics 2024.
Later, Arjun Babuta will be vying for a medal in the men’s 10m air rifle final. In addition to the medal rounds, Indian shooters will also be participating in the qualification stage. The day will also feature action in badminton, hockey, and archery, making it a day filled with intense competition for India.
The Men’s Team Quarterfinals in Archery will feature Tarundeep Rai, Dhiraj Bommadevara, and Pravin Jadhav at 6:30 pm.
In Badminton, Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto will face Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida from Japan in the Women’s Doubles Group Stage at 12:50 pm, while Lakshya Sen will compete against Julien Carraggi from Belgium in the Men’s Singles Group Stage at 5:30 pm. Shooting events include the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Qualification at 12:45 pm and the Men’s Trap Qualification at 1 pm.
The 10m Air Rifle Women’s Final will feature Ramita Jindal at 1 pm, followed by the 10m Air Rifle Men’s Final with Arjun Babuta at 3:30 pm. India will also play against Argentina in the Men’s Pool B Match in Hockey at 4:15 pm. Additionally, in Table Tennis, Manika Batra will compete against Prithika Pavade from France in the Women’s Singles Round of 32 at 12:30 AM. India’s current medal tally includes one bronze medal won by shooter Manu Bhaker.
