Marcus Stoinis has been named the Melbourne Stars’ permanent captain.

Marcus Stoinis, a fellow all-rounder, has been elected the Melbourne Stars’ next permanent captain. Glenn Maxwell resigned from the position at the end of the last campaign. The eighth full-time captain of the Stars will be Stoinis.
