In a significant bilateral development, India is set to host Afghanistan for a short but crucial cricket series in June. Featuring one Test match followed by three One Day Internationals. The series, organized under the supervision of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), is expected to strengthen competitive exposure for Afghanistan. While helping India prepare its bench strength ahead of upcoming international assignments.
The Test match will provide Afghanistan another opportunity to gain valuable experience in the longest format against top-tier opposition. While the ODI leg is likely to attract strong fan interest given Afghanistan’s rapid rise in white-ball cricket. Official venues and match dates are expected to be announced soon.
